Deadline to Apply for 2010 Professional Science Master’s Degree Program is March 1, 2010

The deadline to applying for Creighton University’s 2010 Professional Science Master’s (PSM) program in bioscience management is March 1, 2010.  The 15-month, executive-style, weekend master’s degree, which USA Today has called “the MBA for Scientists,” allows recent science graduates and professionals working in a wide range of bioscience-related industries a chance to become bilingual through studying the business of science.

The program is recommended by the Sloan Foundation and has been certified by the National Council of Graduate Schools.  A recent salary study undertaken by the National PSM Association found that the median salary for PSM graduates was between $60,000 - $70,000, with the largest percentage of respondents reporting salaries of more than $90,000.

Prospective applicants can choose either a science or business track. The program offers exposure to topics central to careers in industries such as pharmaceuticals, agricultural products, sustainable energy and packaging, health care, technology transfer, medical devices, research and clinical trial laboratories, and more.  It also provides practical business skills such as marketing, entrepreneurship, leadership and teaming.
