Midwest Government Affairs Manager, Bayer Crop Science
Rachel Hurley joined Bayer, then Monsanto, in January of 2014 as the State and Local Government Affairs Lead, where she covers eight south-central states.
Prior to joining Bayer, Rachel worked as Executive Director of IowaBio and as Director of Legislative Relations in the office of the Michigan Attorney General. While in these positions, she developed numerous statewide initiatives and advocated on both state and federal levels.
Hurley’s experience also includes nearly 10 years of extensive financial and real estate experience working at Farm Credit Services of America and Greenstone Farm Credit; as well as stints in entrepreneurship and family farming.
Though a rural Missouri native, Hurley received her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law and is licensed to practice in Iowa, Illinois and Michigan. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, and her associate’s degree from Indian Hills Community College in Centerville, Iowa.
