Breezmed is a healthcare technology company developing point-of-care software that streamlines medication prior authorization for clinicians. Built to reduce administrative burden, its platform aims to help prescribers quickly determine coverage, auto-populate forms, and move therapy decisions forward without the delays, faxing, and repeated data entry that often frustrate providers and patients. The company’s NIH-funded prototype was shaped by national survey data, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing with prescribers, who emphasized the need for EHR integration, real-time feedback, minimal typing, and fast appeal handling. Breezmed targets a major workflow bottleneck while improving efficiency, provider experience, and access to timely treatment. Breezmed is part of the first Steel Works Health Accelerator.
