REACH Scholarship Recipients
  • Hajirah Hasan, Omaha, Nebraska, will be attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha
  • Maggie Luebbe, Columbus, Nebraska, will be attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney

The Bio Nebraska REACH Scholarship was created to empower women studying a bioscience field who are nearing the completion of their undergraduate degrees and need additional financial support to cross the finish line. The scholarship reflects Bio Nebraska’s continued investment in retaining and growing a diverse and talented bioscience workforce.

“Hajirah and Maggie have demonstrated the talent, determination and commitment that Nebraska’s bioscience industry needs,” said Rob Owen, Executive Director of Bio Nebraska. “The REACH Scholarship is designed to help promising students overcome financial obstacles during the final stretch of earning their degrees. We’re proud to support their success and strengthen the pipeline of skilled professionals who will drive innovation across our state.”

The REACH Scholarship is open to students in a bioscience-related field who are enrolled at a Nebraska college, community college, or university, and have either achieved junior standing in a four-year program or completed more than 50% of a two-year degree program.
