Bio Nebraska testifies in support of LB491

Rob Owen, Executive Director of Bio Nebraska, testified in support of renewing the Nebraska Advantage Research and Development Act.

The Nebraska Legislature’s Revenue Committee held a hearing on Thursday where Rob Owen, Executive Director of Bio Nebraska, testified in support of renewing the Nebraska Advantage Research and Development Act. LB491, introduced by Senator Brad von Gillern, renews a tax credit to research and development projects in Nebraska. Renewing the tax credit supports Nebraska businesses, colleges and universities who are innovating and introducing new products and services, from medicine to agriculture.

“Renewing the R&D tax credit is essential to growing the bioscience industry and keeping Nebraska competitive in attracting new companies to the state,” said Rob Owen.
