United for Medical Research (UMR), a coalition of leading scientific research institutions and industries, and patient and health advocates, has recently reported on the impact of research funded in the 2022 fiscal year by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on the U.S. economy and individual states.
In Nebraska, the report finds that NIH awarded $155.3 million in grants and contracts during the 2022 fiscal year that directly supported 2,725 jobs and $387 million of economic activity.
