Phibro Animal Health Corporation is a leading global animal health company focused on helping livestock producers, farmers and veterinarians responsibly care for their animals and contribute to a healthy, affordable food supply. The company’s portfolio includes products supporting the health of cattle, poultry, swine and aquaculture, with solutions spanning vaccines, medicated feed additives, nutritional specialty products and mineral nutrition as well as products used in the ethanol industry to optimize biofuel plant operations.

Phibro has maintained a significant presence in Nebraska since acquiring Baltzell Agri Products mineral nutrition business in 2009. In 2016, Phibro acquired MVP Laboratories, an Omaha-based company that develops and manufactures livestock vaccines and adjuvants, now known as Phibro Vaccines Omaha (PVO). PVO produces customized livestock vaccines designed to address farm-specific bacterial and viral challenges. The company continues to make significant investments in its PVO Nebraska operations.

Recently, Phibro purchased the building adjacent to its existing facility and invested in renovating and expanding the site to increase production and technology capabilities, including product development, diagnostics and adjuvant manufacturing. Over the past decade, the facility has grown significantly, with approximately 70 employees today, reinforcing Omaha’s importance as a key center for Phibro’s animal health business.

For the fiscal year ending June 2026, Phibro Animal Health Corporation reported approximately $1.5 billion in net sales globally. Animal health products including mineral nutrition products, vaccines and adjuvants produced in Nebraska continue to be a strategic part of the company’s global growth.

“As a lifelong livestock producer and rancher, I know how critical healthy animals and reliable tools are to the success of Nebraska’s farm and ranch families,” said Director Vinton. “Phibro Animal Health’s work strengthens the health and productivity of our livestock while advancing the food-safety standards that protect the people who depend on the high-quality protein we produce. Congratulations to the entire Phibro team on receiving the Bio Nebraska Governor’s Bioscience Award. Your innovations make life better for the livestock raisers who feed our state and the nation.”
