NatureWorks has returned to Bio Nebraska’s membership base.

NatureWorks manufacture Ingeo poly lactic acid (PLA) which is used to manufacture plastics and fibers. Ingeo PLA, made from renewable biobased feedstocks, is a low-carbon alternative to petrochemical-based plastics and fibers that makes the products we use every day safer and more sustainable. We use corn grown by farmers in Nebraska and neighboring states and can use other feedstocks as well. Our manufacturing facility, located in Blair, Nebraska, USA, has a capacity of making 330 million pounds of Ingeo biopolymer annually. Our plant came online in 2002 and in 2003, we built the world’s largest lactic acid manuf, acturing facility to feed our polymer plant. Our material is used to make products spanning dozens of industries, including 3D printing filament, agricultural supplies, food serviceware and food packaging.
