Bio Nebraska invites you to “Cultivating a Diverse and Inclusive Workplace Culture” a virtual presentation for Nebraska’s Women in STEM featuring Kamecia Mason, the Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) for McCarthy Building Companies.

Join Kamecia for a discussion about McCarthy’s journey in expanding its DE&I strategies across the company, including industry partnerships and the communities it serves, to create a culture that is rich, diverse and inclusive. She will include strategies for organizations, wherever they may be in their DE&I journey and will provide an opportunity to answer questions from the audience.

About the Speaker

Kamecia Mason is Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In this role, she works across the organization to cultivate a welcoming, inclusive, equitable, accessible, culture that empowers all partners to achieve success without barriers. Across the construction industry Kamecia is noted for her strategic approach to enhancing inclusive cultures, creating opportunities for diverse businesses, and her servant leadership approach. She is a 40 under 40 awardee and has been recognized by multiple organizations for her commitment to diversity and leadership including Top 50 Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs (DMars), E Award-Advocate of the Year (DFW MSDC), and Advocate of the Year (Regional Hispanic Contractors Association- LUNA).

Kamecia holds bachelor’s degrees in Communications and Criminal Justice and Certified Diversity Executive credentials from the Institute for Diversity.
