We are excited to welcome new Bio Nebraska member, Vestal!
Vestal is using groundwater high in NO3-N to grow algae through innovative photobioreactor systems, reducing NO3-N and the reclamation of clean water resources commensurate with producing value-added bioproducts. This technology provides a biologically based option for groundwater remediation that is sustainable and economically viable reducing NO3-N from agricultural runoff in groundwater to below drinking water limits.
